What Is It to Be White?
Rudy Sallo grew up in California during the 1990s. He says his family's name was changed to make it sound like spanish or Italian. As a teenager he tried to pass himself off as white and get into law school. But then 9/11 happened, which made him re-examine his background. The experience led him to start writing screen plays for sci-fi novels.
