Natural Selection Is Incomprehensible

You want to think that you have some agency, or that your decisions affect the way your offspring emerge. But also, natural selection is so hard to grasp. And it's much easier to say, a giraffe has a long neck because long ago, a Giraffe wanted to reach higher leaves and stretched its neck.
