Bay Football Club is a new women's soccer team based in the San Francisco Bay area. There were two previous teams in this area before, but they both failed after just a couple of seasons. The club's founders are four retired women's pro players who have won Olympic Gold and World Cup medals. They didn't want to end up like the last two teams that failed. institutional investors are actually the majority owners of the team.
