The way science works is by sticking to an orthodoxy usually for a long time. We do need urgently to recover, particularly in the biological sciences, that radical skepticism and irreverence of the enlightenment which has been lost. So there is a frankly religious fundamentalism in modern biology which says that there are lots of questions that can't be asked because they are questions that can're posed in the language of the orthodoxy.
