Are Engineers the Only People Who Can Do Things in the World?

I don't think engineering necessarily has a culture either. Why do we assume engineers are the only people who can do things in the world, right? People who do industrial design, product design, they tinker as well. It's more like if you want to do a particular thing, carefully choosing examples will often do better than the first ones that spring to mind.
