Aspirin for Primary Prevention
The USPSTF has changed its guidelines on aspirin for primary prevention. New clinical trials have shown that there is no net benefit from taking the drug, but a higher rate of all-cause mortality in those who did take it. The new data also shows an increase in colorectal cancer deaths among people with high cardiovascular risk.
