Acting as an Actor

When he was a young actor, my father was a famous actor and a famous leading man. And I started to take on the persona of a leading man through the parts that I was playing. These leading man qualities sort of stuck with me after a run in a play where I had to act them out. Does that come close to what you're talking about?
