People with faith find Jesus's authority absolutely healing and transformative. "For many of us it reveals that Jesus who these words are a word of comfort, deep comfort," he says. The fact that Jesus is here doing what he's doing means God has made a decision to meet this man despite his flaws and failures in order for him to pronounce that he is on good terms with God.
