Part Two: MKUltra: When The CIA Tried to Destroy Free Will
Behind the Bastards
A Brief History of Dr. Cameron's Driving Experiments
Dr. Cameron's experiments were typically carried out on patients who had entered the Institute for minor problems, such as anxiety disorders and postpartum depression. The Canadian government has provided no list of the experiments that Dr. Cameron carried out with their approval. Nine of Cameron's patients sued the CIA in the 1980s for their treatment under MKUltra. It was settled out of court in 1988 under the condition that the agency was not accepting liability. 74 patients received $100,000 payments under the conditions that the Canadian government was not admitting culpability.
