Distributed Tracing and Observability

Distributed tracing gives you a sense of not only what's happening on the larger scale with our systems, but also like how are things connected? And to me, that's been the biggest value is less so about what does a trace look like for a web request that's hitting, you know, a dozen different systems. If nobody's hitting your website, something's probably wrong. The most popular current one is called the four golden signals: latency errors, traffic and saturation.
