How to Get Rid of You in Business Writing
Second tip: Do your best to imagine your reader's reality when they receive your message. Also things like how much detail do you want to give this person? If you're writing to someone who's only doing one aspect of a project and has 10 other deadlines that day, I would only tell them what they need to know for that one aspect. It can also overwhelm your reader and leave them wondering which was the most important thing.
