The End of the Republic

The story of clodius and milo is incredibly important in this end stage of the republic. They are constantly prosecuting one another, but nobody else really seems to be interested in prosecuting them. But it has completely destroyed the way that politics is happening. And it has done that largely by involving people who were not really involved in politics. It's a real shift in how the republic is working, and therefore really important in what happens next.
