i feel deeply uncomfortable listening to michael jackson or engaging with, say, thrillof the music hall. I think that's because those stories have touched me more personally, because of my history. We can't all collectively cancel one person but we can make our own mind up based on our experiences and how the things we've learnt about these artists affect us. You are a bad person if you enjoy this. You're a good person if you don't enjoy this. There's so much nuance to all of this. And none of these things exist in a vacuum.
