The Advantages of Automating GUI Tests

Jeff: You can do TDD with or without also doing exploratory testing. I would highly encourage anyone to just, you know, poke around your device and try to break it. When it breaks, find out exactly what broke it and then add that to your suite of tests. And just do that process over and over. That's valuable in and of itself. But you don't have to waste a lot of energy either manually testing the UI or expanding lots of effort, automating GUI tests which I think we both agree are in the general case, not worth it.
