Theophany in Exodus 19
Hail and fire flash continually in verse 24. And we're going to see flashes of fire again in Exodus 19. It seems to me that what Moses intends for us to notice here is that whereas he broke out against the Egyptian, it's and destroyed them. He came down in a similar kind of theophanic manifestation of his glory on Mount Sinai and mercifully did not destroy the Israelites.
