The Origins of Polydactylae in the Bible

Pituitary giants look impressive in terms of stature, but may not have speed and agility to match their perceived strength. For example, concerning Goliath, they write, Goliath was killed by David who threw a stone and his forehead. This gives further evidence that he suffered from pituitary gland dysfunction. And this man had 6 fingers on each hand and 6 toes on each foot, or a total of 24 digits, instead of the usual 20. The condition of having extra digits is known as polydactylae, which is Greek for many fingers; it also has genetic causes.
