After the Titanic sank, the white star line received a million pounds in insurance money. Today's currency over a hundred years later, that would be just north of 87 million pounds or just north of a hundred and seven million dollars US currency. The Olympic was considered too damaged to be profitable anymore. And it was then switched with the Titanic by the international mercantile marine company.
