CHAPTER

The Law of Civil Disobedience

Most political change has been broughtot by civil disobedience, often beginning with saying things encouraging people to react against unjust laws. You have the right to argue against a law, you have to do it through words, not through actions. As long as you continue to obey the law, you can argue for its repeal. If he seditiously seeks to repeal that law in spite of the magistrate, he is nothing more than an agitator and a rebel. It sounds like those laws that are being enforced in china and malasia and elsewhere where you may not say nasty things about the party orabout the king, you'll be thrown in prison.
