Is Russia Ready to Mediate the Conflict?
The sudden death of Lukashenko is being interpreted as a message from Russia. Pope Francis said 10 days ago that the Vatican was ready to do anything possible to mediate the conflict, put an end to it. The Kremlin today has said that they'd love it. But those pesky Ukrainians again, is Ukraine's stance that prevents this. And whilst the Vatican might offer to be a negotiating platform, Qube's position has made this impossible.
