Life has been around for about 4 billion years so obviously it also is really good at persisting. I have a cell phone that's rated for what two to four years, I have a leg bone that's rated as over 100. We're working on using on increasing shelf life of cell components. And this thing is simply to add capabilities to cells and this is something else my lab's working on.
