Theology and Religion: How to Respond to Trauma of Ecological Distruction

Climate change is not in fact leading us to the end of the world as in the destruction of the whole planet. Instead, a warming climate involves a series of smaller losses and smaller endings. Some worlds, as in spheres of activity or modes of understanding, will end or have already ended. Best response in this instance is to mourn what is lost and to adapt to new ways of living.
