Dr. Larry C. Roth who is the PCA minister as well as the official organist for the general PCA General Assembly has been doing that for over 40 some years. And he quotes Calvin just a bit here for if we would not throw everything into confusion we must never lose sight of the distinction between the old and new dispensations. He says ceremonies, the observance of which were useful under the law are now not only superfluous but viciously absurd when Christ was absent.
