I am with you as being an advocate of having a coach. I have worked with two myself in the past year and it's made a world of difference. There is just things I would never see on my own without them. chess time controls unfortunately are rapidly decreasing but nonetheless the proper time controls are the ones that I tend to refer to as proper time controls main tournament time controls remain for five hours.
