The Importance of Ethos in Donald Trump's 2016 Presidential Campaign
Donald Trump has ethos. It may not be the ethos you and I respect or agree with, but let's not forget when he runs in 2016, he runs almost purely on ethos at the front. He knows that it emotionally rows his base with kind of demagogic rhetoric. So yes, I would argue that his own weird distorted version of character and credibility is only thought to have an appeal to millions of Americans. The apprentice is what cements him in the popular imagination in the public mind as this can do brilliant billionaire businessman. But reality is he's a failed businessman. Multiple bankruptcy lied about his wealth. Can't even fire the people around him. Is such a coward.
