The book is set sometime in the near future in texas, where nina her family live. They're constantly living through hurricanes and now tornadoes. What was the importance of having climate change as the backdrop of these coming of age stories? And there's a couple of reasons why i did decide to make climate change play such a pivital roll in this book.
