How to Control Transient Levels on Drum Buses
On a console or via analog something, I find that transients get kind of blunted off a little bit more. Even things like Lo-Fi in Pro Tools on kicks and snails can help just sort of shave off the transient but still kind of get a little aggression in there. Tape saturators that UAD, Stooter, plug-in is amazing. It's probably the best like kind of drum transient leveler or blunter as we call it out there.
