The Image of God: A Universal Reality

The word used to describe humans as God's image in Genesis 126 is the Hebrew word Selam and at Selam is something very concrete it's not some ephemeral idea like oh we resemble God or we have certain capacities. It's a physical three-dimensional object that represents either a king or a deity so I think we need to get back to reckoning with the human embodiment as the core concept of what it means to be the image.
