The Conflagration of the German Empire
This confagration was put on the strain by the reformation. But these strains were resolved in the peace of augsburg in 15 55. After that, for about 25 years, we have two emperors who are very engaged with german politics. This works pretty well up unto the 15 eighties, then we see the pressure and tentions mounting. We have calvinism as another protestant, a faith that emerges alongside lutheranism. And this is really a headache. For instance, for historians, we haveTwo calendars operating from 15 82, one that was a papal reform calendar, and another one the protestants still hung ont.
