I Don't Think Strauss Is Any Different Than Socrates, Plato or Aristotle, Right?
Some see in the concept of natural right, a kind of universalism that fuels neo conservative foreign policy. That is corrosive to localism, tradition, borders, distinctions,. differences in culture, difference in approach and so on. I don't think strauss is, in this sense, any different than socrates, plato or aristotle, right? But my read between the lines is that at the end of the day, he uses the specific immunity of the commentator to say that for plato and aristotle, the philosophic life is the peaqe.
