The Passion of the Christ
Hollywood films were very careful about their depiction of Christ to the point of not showing his face in this case. I think you're dealing with something that's apocryphal versus actual scriptural so when you have The Passion of the Christ which is every word out of his mouth is worth and he said, except like the flashback scenes,. In the Zephyrrelli version there are stories that are really taken directly from even Pausoleenia directly from scripture but this is the creation of a side story in which Jesus is going to appear. We understand that Jesus is just doing his thing and we are watching how a side character was affected by Jesus on the ground in real time.
