At a certain point, you stop being judged for your technical skills and start being judged on how you work with people. You can't keep thinking that churning out more and better code is the way that you're going to get ahead in your career. And I like to say that nobody becomes a software engineer because they want to be dealing with people all day every day. That's not why we're doing it.
