The right rear R2 door was seen by external witnesses to be open with the slide deployed and inflated. A flight attendant was initially visible in the doorway, but the door and slide were obscured by thick black smoke as the aircraft stopped. No one escaped through this door. There's still a bottleneck in people not able to use those doors from the total of 22 rows of seats in the cabin. From row 16 to 22, only five people survived from where 29 passengers and two flight attendants perished. The rear most and sole survivor in row 20, remember to fly to 10 next to him, apparently trapped in a melee of passengers.
