Channel Four and the Independent Sector
The independent sector is fantastically ependent on channel four, because all their programs are being made by indies. If your primary imperative is making a profit then you are going to be far less interested in making the kind of programmes that true vision, or candle, or many other current affairs and documentary companies i can think of, make. Those kinds of programmes are far less likely to survive than the current channel four model. You're easily going o be hale to sell advertising about around it, but it's not actually going to be truly doing what people like me want to do - make worth while t v programms.
