The Google Lunar X-Prize
Google is putting up $30 million for the first team to land on the moon's surface with a robot and send back photos and videos. The teams are not actually building the launch vehicles against the moon, they're building the robotic landers and rovers. "My sense is that the prize is going to become very, very apparent as we get closer to the voyage date," says Musk.
