"God damn it, you've got to be kind," Kurt Vonnegut says. "I try to live by that as much as I can ... and God knows I fail a lot." In the pronoun wars about trans people who were born biologically as say men and now identify as women, should we use the pronouns they want? "It doesn't cost me anything to use the pronouns that they prefer... It's just basic human decency to me".
