progress studies is an interdisciplinary field in its own right, cutting across the existing fields of economics, economic history, and so on. It aims to answer three key questions: How did we get here? Why did it take so long? And how do we make sure that doesn't stall out, slow down or even regress? Rit most people know this in a vague sense, but most people probably just aren't well acquainted with just the gory details of howw life really was just a couple of hundred let alone ten thousand years ago.
