A Social Approach to Ethics

Robot ethics is based on the idea of normativity, that you have to hold commitments about how the world should be ar in order to be some kind of ethical agent. The systems themselves aren't imbued with a kind of normative capacity to treat them at the level of personhood,. shall we say, where you'd have to get serious about their rights. So it's quite a social approach to ethics.
