Tesla's Price Cuts and Slow Economic Growth Mean Lower Electric Vehicle Sales
In January, 607-2000 electric vehicles were sold worldwide. That's only up 3% year over year and it's roughly half the unit sales we were seeing in December. Morgan Stanley's Adam Jones published a note that said EV inventories are rising faster than internal combustion engine inventory at many dealers. With the rest of the industry taking a hit from Tesla's price cuts and slowing economic growth, that sounds good for the living business. But guess what? This recent weakness actually has been wondering if it might not be a good time to start buying lithium stocks.
