Occupy Wall Street inspired a reinvigorated socialist movement that had became more or less dead even before the fall of the soviet union in 19 89. Occupy organizers were largely upper middle class kids coming out of expensive universities and coming from comfortable backgrounds. The idea of protest is your saying, you people in power are doing this wrong, and we want you to do something. And even if that's something i step aside, you're addressing them directly. That causes anarco cooties.
