The End Game for Modernity

Strauss's collections of a bunch of really bad isms that we timately need to look for our values when we don't have any. Modernity eventually always leads us either to relativism or meaning being something that's entirely relative, which doesn't give political institutions much guidance. So these five things, relativism, historicism, Scientism, economism and nihilism, are the end game for modernity every single time.
