Is it possible that this superlinear scaling we see in cities has some limiting principle? I guess the early stages of a life form typically are growing super linear for a time, at least. In the other case, the economic case, the supply actually outstrips the demand. And it builds up more and more. So what does the city or the social system or city we're describing scaling superlinearly, does it ever hit a wall?"
