Using a Press Cloth to Protect Your Fabric

A needle board is a tool that you can use to help protect fabrics like velvet. A seam stick is a little piece of wood that tapers up to a point on the top and you lay your seam along te point, and then you press. You can also use your iron to shrink fabric if working with wools or an area that doesn't fit into a slightly smaller space in your garment. For example, apply dampness using a sponge, steam and pressed with the iron - it's really cool.
