Is It Easier to Change Your Last Name?

This week, we're going to discuss two letters. One is about gender privilege, and one is about racial privilege. Dear sugars, my boy friend and i have been together for nearly five years. We planned to get married a year ago, but cancelled a month in advance. He wants me to change my last name to his, so any future kids would have his name. My preference is that we have clear equality in our naming decisions.
