This is a very helpful book. It's hopeful, it's charming. But charley, he makes a lot of bad choices. And you have to walk this line between poignancy and heart and up comedy. There were many formal desires that i had for it that i thought, oh, i don't know that i can do that. I take a lot of delight in those nobokovian games,. You know, the ways in which things shimmer between reality and experiment or reality and fictionality.
