Options Risk Management

Markets are moving in one direction so quickly, there is directional risk. It happens quite frequently, especially in a case like gamestop where much of the move was being dictated by options. As a market maker, if a the customers that you're facing off against are very one ded say they're furiously buying calls. Why? While the stock rallies hard, we are going to be selling those calls to facilitate their buys. And so that's going to give us short exposure to gamestop which ordinarily we would like to hedge by buying shares.
