Charles Barnett and the Black Independent Cinema

Charles Barnett is a genius, he did to sleep with anger. That's the glass shield. He makes this movie about Black life where the father is there and it's a movie about love. I mean, you see that, that man looking at his daughter and his son and his wife and going out and basically crushing his soul to make a living. But being in that neighborhood and being a part of something, right? You couldn't make that movie today because people wouldn't know how to do it with the kind of deafness and poetic touches at that. Beautiful. And again, will you still be imitated into the 21st century? That's right.
