Is Your Mental Illness Your Superpower?

By definition, a mental illness is something negative. I would challenge those people who are saying that mental illness is their superpower to ever spend any time in an inpatient psychiatric facility as I have and see the absolutely wasted lives of many of the people you'll meet there. The point is not that you have to like Kanye West and that his mental illness completely excuses everything that he's saying and doing. But saying ADHD is my superpower is not something you buy into.
