The Silent Anna Darvula
Elizabeth had servants or accomplices that she trusted and even helped her with her crimes. Anna Darvula was one of those, and she was there from about 1601 to 1609 after the death of Farron's. She is said to have helped raise Elizabeth as a child and influenced and encouraged her to perform the crimes. In 1601, there were rumors that began to spread about Anna saying that she was running her own torture chamber in the castle.
