In the case of the cross, it is god extending forgiveness to us and bearing again, the cost involved in effecting that kind of repair. That was the cross. And i think we image that that cross aspect of grace of ber when we engage in the costly work of actually seeking forgiveness and reconciliation. But when it is, it it has that salt like taste of, oh my gosh, this is different. And this is preserving something in us that is much needed to be preserved.
