The First Etection of an Asian Giant Hornet in Washington State

The asian giant hornet is an apex creditor, and that our local honey bees here have no defense against them. Experts were aware of the nest that had been found in b c and were immediately worried about the potential nest in washington state. To do that, they needed to trap and tag the hornets so that entomologists could track them back to the nest. It took a few tries in several months before the first nest was located.
